hayate kobayashi
b. 1995 in Sapporo, Japan.
Lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

Biography
hayate kobayashi is an artist who relumes the form of moving images. Based on the various experiments with self-made apparatus and visual image, he makes artworks with the  research of image studies – Bildwissenschaft and media archaeology.
He completed a Master Program in Film and New Media Studies at the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts. He currently studies in an Absolvent program in Art and Media from Universität der Künste Berlin. His work was selected for the New Face Award of the Art Division at the 24th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2021. His recent solo exhibition include: How to Relume Your Mind, Imageforum Cinematheque, Tokyo, Japan (2020); and his work has been included in group exhibition such as: CAF Award Exhibition, Hillside Terrace, Tokyo (2020) as a finalist.
