This month, I first went to Taiwan for research. New projects are also in progress. During that time, I went to bars and was treated to meals at Nepalese restaurants, and I’m so grateful for all the help I received. Thank you very much (多謝).

After finishing my part-time job, I went to the Kyoto Prefectural Library. I had initially decided to only buy the three books I had planned, but I came across some unexpected books and quickly ended up with up to five.
What I borrowed：
- Taiwanese Sexual Minority Literature [2] Short Story Collection: Ji Dawei’s Works “The Membrane” [and 4 other stories]
I remembered seeing the original language version of this book over there, and was surprised to find out it’s been translated into Japanese! - Tomoko Fujimori, “The Movement to Promote the ‘National Language’ in Taiwan under Japanese Rule”
- I took the book “Japan in Postwar Taiwan: The Continuity, Transformation, and Utilization of Colonial Experience,” edited by Mako Igarashi and Hiroko Mio, to Taiwan, but I never got around to reading it.
- Leo Chin, “Becoming a ‘Japanese’ Colony: The Politics of Identity Formation in Colonial Taiwan,” translated by Atsushi Sugano.
- Ken Suzuki, “The Birth of Taiwan’s Same-Sex Marriage Law: A Journey Towards Becoming a Lighthouse for Asian LGBTQ+”
