musique in my mind

Three days have passed since arriving in Berlin. As usual at this hour, I’m already sleepy even though it’s not yet 10 pm. Perhaps I’ll brush my teeth and turn in.

Tomorrow holds no plans whatsoever. That’s because until I complete the task of registering as a resident, I can’t open a bank account. Consequently, no applications can progress and there’s no school either, so this is essentially a “let’s take a break for now” period. Today I did my prep school part-time job in the afternoon, slept quite a bit, got a new SIM card, and wandered about doing some shopping. Since tomorrow’s completely free, I’m thinking of heading to Neukölln, a place I’ve been curious about. Also, my appetite has dwindled considerably lately (well, I literally can’t survive unless I cook everything myself, so I often skip meals out of sheer laziness). That’s pretty much how it’s been since arriving in Berlin – nothing particularly noteworthy, just drifting along like a rootless weed, living in a daze.

Also, I always wake up around 4am. Must be jet lag. Just then, a LINE message arrived from a prep school student saying they’d passed. I was genuinely thrilled. ‘Well done,’ I said. ‘Keep creating.’ Not just words – there’s so much you can show through your work.

Oh my!
I’ve entered my thirties, and my beauty should be reaching new heights.

Three days since arriving in Berlin. Still feeling sleepy at this hour, even though it’s barely past 10 pm. Perhaps I’ll brush my teeth and turn in.

So, well, it’s basically a “let’s just take a break for now” period. Today, I did my prep school part-time job in the afternoon, slept quite a bit, got a new SIM, and wandered around doing some shopping. Since tomorrow has no plans, I’m thinking of heading to this area called Neukölln that I’ve been curious about. Also, my appetite has dwindled considerably lately (well, I literally can’t survive unless I cook everything myself, so I often skip meals out of sheer laziness). That’s pretty much how it is – since arriving in Berlin, I haven’t done anything particularly noteworthy, just drifting around like a rootless weed, living in a daze.

Oh, and I always wake up around 4am. Must be jet lag. Just then, a prep school student who passed the exam…
